Customer service was great, I ordered an onboard battery charger and the price was great. I had ordered it in person and was told that it should be in by the end of the week and I would receive an email, I hadn't heard anything by the following Monday so I stopped by to inquire about my purchase. Valerie Clark was very helpful and she contacted the company that it was being shipped from and they said that it had been shipped that morning by overnite express. She said that when it arrives she would overnite to me so I wouldn't have to travel to pick it up. She emailed me Tuesday that she had shipped it and it would arrive on Wednesday, when I checked ups tracking Wednesday it said it was delivered and left on my porch (I had been home and no package had been left). I informed ups that I hadn't received it and I also located the delivery driver and it turned out that the address on the package was for 70th st instead of 70th terr. The driver and I went back the delivered address and the box was gone and know answered the door. Later on I received a phone call from Valerie and she apologized for the error and that she had the supplier overnite a new charger to my home at no charge to me. I said that I would try to get the original charger back but she said I didn't have to because she had made the mistake. Because of the way this problem was handled I would highly recommend this business.

Wrong tracking number

tracking number is no good, wondering where my part is at the moment. if it doesnt show tomorrow, we are close enough to drive and see them... After reading all the reviews, I would have never ordered a thing from this place. I will make a post on facebook at all the boating sites so they can feel it straight in their pocket for taking advantage of everyone who calls and is told to have expectations for a part that never shows up.... I further intend to make sure the part they sent is correct. it is a steering cable and I was told it was in stock in Iowa and should be here in a day.... lets see if that happens. If not, I will be making a charge back tomorrow as this is holding up our family boating time...

I was contacted by Kim in customer service and she had the correct part sent to me 2nd day air. So I suffered no monetary loss.

Only my time was lost. unfortunately the rest of my review stands.

Stay away from First Choice Marine. Their customer service is terrible, half the time no one answers the phone and when they do they don't keep their word. I ordered 2 Swivl-Eze Seat Mount,13" Aluminum Post,Stainless Finish Base,7" x 7",Threaded #977339-T. They took 17 days to be delivered to my house which is terrible these days. when they arrived they were not in retail boxes as I ordered, but individual parts dumped in a box and allowed to bang against each other across the Country. They were all scratched and nicked up when they arrived and one Aluminum post wasn't even the correct one it wasn't threaded. Of course I called them right away and couldn't get hold of anyone. I'm not going to wait another 17 days to get this corrected. I'll end up just buying another post someplace else and eat the cost.

I ordered a drain plug for my boat. It's a hard to find piece and I wanted a spare, knowing that eventually I'll lose one of the two required. The plug they sent was not the plug pictured on the website, and it naturally would not fit. I sent the part back after acquiring an return authorization, and asked for a refund on the part and shipping. After all, they posted a picture of the wrong part on their website. That was six weeks ago. I have emailed them several times, and a couple of times Erica said she'd "personally" ask accounting, but accounting was not in and would not be in for a few days. I have yet to get a response from her. That's theft, but for an $11 part it's hardly worth pursuing. I would look to another company, if at all possible, before buying a part from First Choice Marine. I just wish I had the time back from following up with this disreputable company. I had as bad an experience as you can have. An $11 part cost me over $20 (with shipping both ways included), and a lot of time.

I ordered (2) steering cables and paid for 2 day shipping... well it took 4 days . then i check my card as i do regularly and found that first choice marine had charged me again for the same order... I Tried to get in touch with them about this matter and could not get a response. no one answered the phone line just got a recording to leave a message. so i went to my netspend card customer service and had to go through the process of filing a dispute. netspend gave me the money back and with no help from first choice marine what so ever... I will not ever and recommend that no one else buy from them...

Boat Anchor Review

I also ordered in stock anchor from this company on 8/5/15, i have called twicw, they blamed the distributor, i was told i would have tracking number by zmonday, i called on Tuesday and now they don't answer phone! I wish i would have checked on this company prior to order, please do not order from this company.

FIRST CHOICE MARINE - Spectacular or SCHAM

I ordered a part online off eBay from FCM and paid with my cc through PayPal and was due here yesterday and still not here today. Called customer asst and was hung up on when I started complaining and asking questions. Went online checked email to look for so called tracking number I was suppose to recieve found none. Went to FCM website to their OWN tracking section of their site and after entering all this info about myself ie name, personal address, shipping address etc, was told there was no record of my order at all. Now I find online ( by accident ) all these complaints about FCM and ( primarily) customer service- or more about lack of and shoddy unacceptable relations between them, FCM and Us, the paying consumer. If I hear anything other then an acceptable answer and am if I am not provided with exemplary proof of my purchase and it's where abouts ( or provided next day delivery at their expense ) then I may have to contact my lawyer and report to BBB

A friend ordered a part from First Choice Marine 3 weeks ago. His card was charged but he hadn't received it. When he called they said the advertised price was wrong. After a discussion they made a deal with him. Within days he received an email message that his order was cancelled. Customer service is terrible. They don't stand behind their advertising. Do not deal with this company. You will have weeks of headaches and end up with nothing but trouble. Deal with a reputable company. Companies like First Choice Marine are what make people so hesitant to buy online.

I bought a Bravo 3 drive from this guy,gave him $5500 crossed my fingers, and he delivered a brand new drive. I was very happy it took 2 days longer than he quoted me but that was the fault of the transporter.

His name is Dusan and i have no issues and would use him again. Tim G.....

Fake website

I bought an item for a Volvo Penta engine, I received my receipt via email and after that nothing happened, they does not exist, I tried to know what was going on and never receivced a response, I got all my emails returned because the customer service address does not exist, and I cancelled the order after 5 days waiting. I do not know if this people charged really my credit card, but I will advise AMEXCO TO avoid charges from this website. Do not buy from this website, be in touch with police department or call FBI or CIA because they need to stop these scamers.

Delayed shipping and high shipping cost

I ordered a very small pivot (about 1/10 oz) and requested 2 day shipping as the part was for friends in Panama who were "dead in the water" and we were heading down there in a few days. It took First Choice TWO days to ship the part (cost for part about $11) and then they charged me about $23 for shipping the very small part. When contacted, the company showed no concern over their delay in shipping nor over the exorbitant shipping cost for such a small part. Why did it take then two days to ship a part that I was (initially) willing to pay extra to have it shipped and received in two days? Never again will we shop at First Choice. It is now our Last Choice.

Order Cancelled without notice

I placed an order with First Choice Marine on June 30, 2013 and received a receipt for my order via email. On July 25 I request status on my order and was informed it would be another 7 to 10 days before shipment. On August 28th I again requested status of my order and was informed that my order had been cancelled on July 25th. First Choice Marine did not inform me that my ordered had been cancelled. Also I used the on-line customer support to email First Choice to obtain status of my order and never received a single answer. This company has very poor communications with their customer and would recommend everyone to shop elsewhere.

False price

All these thru Amazon.com, paid immediately for merchandise and shipping. Seller sent a different item from what I've ordered. Instead of getting a set of Perko side lights, I received a floating matress. I've it back to seller and seller assured me that he would ship the item I've ordered. But, days later tries to ask for more money ($20+5). Seller claimed that they made an error with the pricing. If he started with that, right at the beginning, I would have paid the extra money, everyone can make a mistake. But first he assured me that he would straighten things out, then 5-6 days later he tries to get more money, now THAT is wrong. Not to mention that I've already paid for shipping, so why should I pay 5 more dollars? I will never deal with them again.

Never shipped parts and kept my $$$

Absolutely brutal. Placed an order in early June for a couple of routine parts. I was told they were backordered and would ship in 2 weeks which I agreed was okay. Late July I was told the parts were ready to ship but my credit card purchase authorization had expired and I called to re-authorize. Credit card was billed in full. Mid- August I was told they were on back order again. Early September I asked that the parts either be shipped immediately or the order cancelled. They again promised to ship. Mid November I was told the order had been cancelled but they didn't know by who and no credit had been issued. Now Christmas and still no credit has been issued and they are unresponsive. Looks like I have been ripped off by these guys. I should have just ordered the parts from my local dealer and I could have used them all summer and not lost my money...

same thing happened to me, turns out the manufacturer had the product on backorder. nobody knew.

they went out of their way and shipped the part for free when it came off backorder and then gave me a coupon for my next purchase.

great company, they make up for any inconvenience you may have. thanks!

The same exact situation happened to me. Parts on backorder but they said they would ship what was available.

A week later I get an email that said my order was cancelled.

I called and was told they had no idea what happened. Stay away from these guys.

They take your money and don't deliver the goods

First Choice Marine charged my charge card a full month before actually shipping the goods. Two items were unavailable and not included in the shipment but they charged me for them any way. First Choice admits that they didn't ship the two items and that I am due a refund. I have called them and asked for a credit four seperate times. Each time they promise they will credit my charge card. Today Dan told me they are just too busy and it is MY PROBLEM! Will never order from this company again. Terrible customer service. They obviously don't care about repeat business. Will have to contact credit card company and request a charge back.

First Choice Marine false advertising and bad service

Ordered a product from First Choice Marine, Grain Valley, Mo. The website description for the product said it included the mounting brackets and when we got it it did not. When called them they said the would call me back when they find out what happened. Did not call me back. Call again a few days later and they were very rude and would not take care of the problem. Even asked to speak to the manager and it only got worse. She would not even try to help and lied about the product. I am now left with a product I can not use.
